Hendry County man wins $5M from scratch off ticket

A Hendry County man is $5 million richer after purchasing a scratch-off ticket from a gas station located in Naples.

According to the Florida Lottery, Agustin Garcia Guerrero of Labelle claimed the $5 million prize from the $5,000,000 CA$H MONEY Scratch-Off game on December 8.

Guerrero opted for a one-time lump-sum payment of $3,053,000. He purchased the ticket from a Sunshine gas station located at 17100 Tamiami Trail E. in Naples.

Scratch-Off games make up approximately 74% of the Florida Lottery’s ticket sales for the fiscal year 2024-2025. Since its inception, these games have awarded more than $66.9 billion in prizes and created 2,350 millionaires.

Additionally, Scratch-Off games have contributed over $20.09 billion to Florida’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund.
