Lee County authorities search for fugitive on the run for nearly 20 years

LEE COUNTY, Fla. —

Lee County authorities are searching for a fugitive who has been on Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers' "10 Most Wanted" list for almost 20 years.

According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, authorities are searching for Troy Bolin, who has evaded arrest for nearly two decades.

Bolin was arrested in 2005 on charges of sexual assault on a teenager. Shortly before Bolin was released from jail, an additional victim came forward and accused Bolin of sexual assault, according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers.

Bolin was known to preach Bible study to neighborhood children in Lehigh Acres, Crime Stoppers said.

Bolin has remained on Crime Stoppers' list of most wanted felons, and authorities are still actively searching for him.
