Where to watch New Year's fireworks in Southwest Florida

LEE COUNTY, Fla. —

As 2025 comes to a close, many across the Gulf Coast will be celebrating the new year. One of the most popular celebrations for New Year's is fireworks displays.

Where can Southwest Florida residents watch the festive displays? Here is a list of fireworks displays across Southwest Florida.

Downtown Fort Myers

A New Year's Eve celebration will take place in downtown Fort Myers from 6 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. Wednesday. The event is free to all and will be located at First Street and Hendry Street.

There will be five performance areas, featuring Smack Daddy, School of Rock, Caloosa River Band and more. At midnight, there will be a ball drop and a fireworks display.

Naples

The city of Naples will host a New Year's fireworks show on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, from 6:30-7 p.m.

The free celebration can be viewed from any point along the city of Naples shoreline.

Attendees are encouraged to bring beach chairs or towels.

Punta Gorda

Fishermen's Village in Punta Gorda will host its annual New Year's Eve Celebration on Wednesday, complete with a fireworks display.

The event, which runs from 6 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., will feature tattoos, face painting, balloon creations, Kona Ice, live music from multiple artists and more.

Additionally, King Fisher Fleet is offering a New Year's Eve Fireworks Cruise, which will depart at 11 p.m. from Fishermen's Village. For more information on the cruise, click here.

Cape Coral

If you love early 2000s pop music, the Cape Coral New Year's Eve celebration is the place to be on Wednesday.

The celebration will run from 6 p.m. to midnight and take place along Southeast 47th Terrace and Southeast 10th Place.

The headline of the event is live music from the "Pop 2000 Tour," featuring Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC, O-Town, Ryan Cabrera and LFO.

Other musical guests include local artists Deb & the Dynamics and DJ Rifik.

In order to accommodate attendees of all ages, two New Year's Eve countdowns will take place with synchronized pyrotechnics at 8 p.m. and midnight.

The event will feature shopping, food vendors and activities for children.

Fort Myers Beach

The town of Fort Myers Beach announced that it has canceled its fireworks display this year due to budgetary restrictions.

“While we share in the disappointment,” officials said, “our priority remains rebuilding responsibly, maintaining essential services, and ensuring long-term financial stability for our residents.”
