Fatal crash closes SR-82 in Immokalee Thursday morning

IMMOKALEE, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that shut down a stretch of State Road 82 in Immokalee early Thursday morning.

According to authorities, SR-82 is closed between Church Road and Corkscrew Road as of 5:30 a.m. while investigators work the scene.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office says deputies received the initial call at 12:22 a.m.and are assisting with traffic control in the area.
