Deputies: 3 detained after fleeing Charlotte County traffic stop, search underway for 4th person

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. —

Three people were detained after Charlotte County deputies said they fled from a traffic stop near Burnt Store Road on Friday morning.

According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, a search is underway for another person who was reported to be in the vehicle.

The sheriff's office said most of the activity is happening on Jean La Fitte Boulevard near Yacht Club Boulevard off of Burnt Store Road. CCSO advised that this is an active scene and asked people to avoid the area as deputies continue their search.
