Man wanted for violating probation following drug charges in Lee County

LEE COUNTY, Fla. —

A new warrant was issued for the arrest of Yarosqui Medina for violating the terms of his probation following an arrest for two counts of drug possession.

Deputies say Medina’s latest legal issues started when he was pulled over for a traffic stop in the early morning hours.

He was unable to produce any kind of ID, but what officers did find were a couple of baggies of fentanyl and meth on him. He spent about a month behind bars and ultimately pled guilty to the charges.

He was sentenced to 24 months of state probation, but just a few months later, the 26-year-old left his last known address and has been evaded authorities since early December.

Medina has six priors for charges of burglary, grand theft, resisting, dealing in stolen property and battery.

In addition to his local arrests, Medina has also been sent to prison twice. Detectives say he has links to gang members and has a noted history of violence.

Medina is 6 feet 2 inches tall, 185 pounds and is known to move between Pine Manor and Lehigh Acres.

He has several tattoos, including the Virgin Mary on his right arm, a money bag on his left arm and tears and various symbols inked on his face.
