The first weekend of 2026 starts off with warmer temperatures, lots of sunshine

After a cool start to 2026, temperatures across Southwest Florida are warming up this weekend!

Highs today will be seasonal, in the mid-70s.

Sun and clouds will stick around throughout the day with a nice breeze out of the southwest, around 10 to 20 miles per hour, ahead of a front.

Rain chances stay at bay today, but later tonight, a few showers are possible.

A few early morning showers are possible in the morning, before sun and clouds dominate the forecast yet again.

It'll be a touch warmer with temperatures in the low 80s by the afternoon.

The 80s are here to stay this week! Each day, we can expect sunshine and highs in the low 80s.

Rain isn't looking likely this week yet again with drier air staying aloft.

Breezy conditions along the coastline will allow for a moderate chop in our bays and inland waters later today.

Winds are out of the southwest around 5 to 15 knots with Gulf wave heights peaking at 2 to 3 feet.

The Gulf water temperature is on the cooler side, reaching 64 degrees.
