Naples fireworks show to return after 2025 cancellation

NAPLES. Fla., - Naples is set to celebrate the new year with a fireworks show that promises to light up the sky and bring together families, visitors, and locals for a night of celebration on Saturday.

The annual display, which was canceled in 2025 due to traffic and safety concerns, is making a much-anticipated return.

This event draws more than 20,000 people each year to the city's beaches.

What makes this fireworks display unique is that spectators can sit anywhere along the Naples shoreline to enjoy the bright, colorful show.

This year's event is taking place three days after New Year's Eve, a change from previous years.

Naples resident Ed Koehler, who has watched the fireworks show for 35 years, shared his thoughts.

"If the weather is permitting which it is now it’s usually great you know it’s a nice show," said Koehler. "Easy to watch. Everyone gets a good view and it’s very relaxing and fun."

The fireworks show is set to start Saturday evening and will continue until 7 p.m.
