1 dead after head-on car crash in Glades County

GLADES COUNTY, Fla. —

One woman died after a head-on car crash in Glades County on Monday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a sedan was traveling west on County Road 74, west of the intersection of County Road 731. A sport utility vehicle was traveling east on County Road 74.

The sedan crossed into the eastbound lane, and the front of the sedan crashed into the front of the SUV, according to FHP.

The 31-year-old woman driving the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene, FHP said.

The driver of the SUV, a 37-year-old man, sustained serious injuries, and the passenger, a 19-year-old man, sustained minor injuries, according to FHP.

FHP said the crash is still under investigation.
