A burn ban is now in effect across Hendry County due to dry weather conditions impacting the area.

The ban applies to all unregulated fires, which include outdoor fires such as bonfires, campfires, or the burning of yard debris. Cook fires are not included in this restriction.

Violating the burn ban can result in a civil fine or a misdemeanor charge, depending on the severity of the violation.
