Boil-water notice in place for Burnt Store and Tuckers Point in Charlotte County

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. —

The Charlotte County Utilities Department issued a precautionary boil-water notice for the entire Burnt Store and Tuckers Point service areas.

The notice goes into effect at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7, due to required repairs to the Burnt Store Water Treatment Plant.

The CCUD said that affected customers will remain under the boil water notice until further notice.

CCUD said customers should boil water intended for cooking or drinking until further notice, and that customers will be notified when the notice has lifted.
