Deputies conduct death investigation following shooting in Port Charlotte

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene conducting a death investigation following a shooting that occurred in Port Charlotte.

Deputies responded to the scene located on at Van Buren Ave. at around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, where they say all parties have been accounted for.

It remains unclear how many people are involved in this death investigation.

Early reports say that around ten Charlotte County deputy vehicles are at the scene. 

Law enforcement is set to provide more information whenever it becomes available.
