Florida man accused of driving stolen electric Walmart shopping cart outside Circle K

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. —

A Lee County man was accused of stealing an electric Walmart shopping cart after driving it around a Circle K, deputies from the Lee County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies said that on Jan. 2, they were dispatched to a Circle K on Bayline Drive in reference to a trespass, where they met Patrick Gelet, 70. Deputies add that Gelet was driving an electric shopping cart with Walmart markings on it.

Gelet was placed under arrest and charged with possession of a shopping cart. Deputies say that the cart was returned to Walmart.
