Evenflo recalls over 74,000 car seats due to possible safety issues

Evenflo, a child product company, has voluntarily recalled over 74,000 car seats due to safety concerns.

According to the recall, certain models of the All4One 4-in-1 convertible car seat manufactured between January 2022 and June 2024 that were sold in the United States and Canada are being recalled.

Evenflo said that while testing the product, the company found that when the seat is in its rear-facing position, it may shift from one recline position to another.

Evenflo said that no injuries have been reported relating to the condition, and that it does not negatively impact protection for a child properly secured in the seat.

"If the child restraint changes its recline position in a crash, a vehicle occupant adjacent to the child restraint is at risk of injury if their fingers are inside the opening above the recline indicator," Evenflo said in the recall statement.

Evenflo said it will replace the affected models completely free of charge, with owners who have registered the product being contacted directly. Owners who have not registered the product can click here for the next steps.

"The safety and well-being of children and families who trust our products is our highest priority, and we are taking this step out of an abundance of caution," Evenflo said.

The affected models sold in the U.S. include:

• 39312408PAL: All4One Car Seat Aries Pallet
• 39312409: All4One Car Seat Ophelia
• 39312440: All4One Car Seat Knight
• 39312441: All4One DLX Car Seat Kingsley
• 39312441COM: All4One DLX Car Seat Kingsley
• 39312441POP: All4One DLX Car Seat Kingsley
• 39312442COM: All4One DLX Belmont 

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the recall affects a total of 74,710 products.
