Red Sox spring training tickets on sale now, job fairs to follow

Spring training excitement is building as baseball fans gear up for the upcoming season. The Boston Red Sox have put single-game tickets on sale today, while the Tampa Bay Rays will follow with their ticket sales starting Wednesday.

Steve Buonaiuto, a baseball fan who divides his time between Naples and Massachusetts, shared his enthusiasm for the season.

"You know, the fans are a little more accessible to the players," said Buonaiuto. "So, you know, regular season, they're really into their, you know, full-time job. And I just think this time of year is a little more relaxed. I think, you know, the dawn of a new season is always exciting. I think everybody has high hopes."

Tickets for Red Sox spring training games can be purchased online starting today. Those who prefer buying in person can do so at the JetBlue Park ticket office beginning Monday. The office will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Red Sox will kick off their spring training schedule on Friday, February 20 at 1 p.m., marking the unofficial start of baseball season in Southwest Florida.

As teams gear up for the season, parks in the area are also preparing by hiring staff. Spring training job fairs are scheduled for this weekend, offering positions ranging from grounds crew to concessions.
