Water quality advisory issued for Lynn Hall Memorial Park on Fort Myers Beach

FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. —

The Florida Department of Health issued a water quality advisory for Lynn Hall Memorial Park on Fort Myers Beach.

According to the DOH, tests completed on Wednesday indicated that the water quality at Lynn Hall Memorial Park does not meet the criteria for Enterococcus bacteria.

The failure to meet the criteria means that there is an increased risk of illness in swimmers, and the DOH advises against any water-related activities at the park.

The DOH said that sampling conducted during regular water quality monitoring showed that the level of bacteria exceeded the acceptable level established by state guidelines.

According to the DOH, the advisory will be in place until bacteria levels are below the accepted health level.
