Man accused of violating probation following battery on an officer arrest in Lee County

LEE COUNTY, Fla. —

A man is accused of violating his probation after spending time in jail for eluding and battery on an officer.

According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, Keon Stokes, 18, is wanted by authorities after being accused of violating the terms of his community control.

Stokes was arrested for eluding and battery on an officer after deputies saw Stokes driving on a major thoroughfare and swerving between lanes with no headlights on, Crime Stoppers said.

Deputies activated their lights and tried to pull Stokes over, but Stokes drove directly at the deputies, grazing the side of the patrol car before speeding into a neighborhood, Crime Stoppers said.

Stokes then crashed into a parked car and barricaded himself inside a home, according to Crime Stoppers.

Stokes eventually retreated and was arrested. He spent 10 months in jail before being released in September 2025 on 36 months of probation, which he is accused of violating, Crime Stoppers said.

Stokes has multiple prior arrests dating back to when he was 14 years old. He was last known to be living in Northwest Cape Coral.
