Woman skips court after grand theft auto arrest in Lee County

LEE COUNTY, Fla. —

A woman is wanted after failing to appear in court following an arrest for grand theft auto, failure to redeliver a rental car and obstruction in a criminal investigation.

According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, Danielle Wilson, 54, was employed by a cleaning company and had access to the business's credit cards.

Crime Stoppers said she used the credit cards more than a dozen times for her own personal purchases. Additionally, when Wilson was without a car after a crash, the company rented a car for her, which she then kept for herself and never returned.

Troopers located Wilson and the stolen car and arrested her. She was released on the condition of showing up for court, which she failed to do, Crime Stoppers said.

Wilson has six prior arrests in Lee and Collier counties and was last known to be living in the Suncoast community of North Fort Myers. She may be using the alias of Danielle DePalma, Crime Stoppers said.
