Pickup truck destroyed, home saved after Palmcrest Lane vehicle fire in Lee County

LEE COUNTY, Fla. —

Fire crews extinguished a vehicle fire threatening a home in Lee County on Tuesday morning.

According to the San Carlos Park Fire and Rescue District, firefighters were dispatched to a vehicle fire on Palmcrest Lane just after 9 a.m.

The crews quickly extinguished the fire and contained it to the vehicle, preventing any damage to a nearby home, SCPFD said.

No injuries occurred, and the cause of the fire was determined to be accidental, SCPFD said. Estero Fire Rescue and Lee County Emergency Medical Services also responded to the scene.
