Naples High School student arrested after deputies find marijuana, box cutter in his possession

NAPLES, Fla. —

A 15-year-old Naples High School student was arrested on Wednesday after deputies said they found drugs and razors in his possession.

According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office, its Youth Relations Deputies got a tip about the student bringing drugs to school. The sheriff's office said suspected marijuana was found in his backpack, as well as a box cutter with a large razor and another straight-edge razor.

CCSO stated that no threat was made, and the student is facing charges of possession of a weapon on school grounds, possession of narcotics, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Anyone who sees or hears anything suspicious on school grounds is advised to call CCSO at 239-252-9300 or dial 9-1-1 in an emergency.
