Cool start with a nice warm up on the way for your Saturday afternoon

A cool start will lead to a warmer, sunny afternoon across Southwest Florida.

Highs will reach the mid 70s, right where our temperatures should be this time of year.

Winds are light today out of the northeast and southeast, at around 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Yet another cold front will be sliding south, allowing for a few showers to impact your Sunday plans.

Winds are going to be picking up, gusting 15-20 miles per hour throughout the day.

Highs will still reach the low 70s, with the cooler air ushering south later into the evening and overnight hours.

Once that cold front moves away, drier, less humid air comes into play for your MLK Day.

On Monday morning, temperatures will be in the 30s and 40s.

By the afternoon, highs will struggle to warm up, only reaching the mid 60s.

By the middle part of the week, a quick warm-up will allow highs to be back into the mid to upper 70s with lots of sunshine.

Today is going to be a nice beach and boating day, especially in the afternoon when temperatures reach the 70s.

Winds are light out of the northeast and southeast around 5 to 10 knots with a light chop in our bays and inland waters.

The Gulf water temperature is at a cool 64 degrees. Winds will pick up Sunday and Monday, making the waters a bit choppy.
