Final phase of reconstruction set to begin on Little Pine Island Bridge

MATLACHA, Fla. —

The final phase of the Little Pine Island Bridge is set to begin on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

The Florida Department of Transportation says crews are scheduled to work on the bridge starting Monday night and into Tuesday morning for phase 3 of the project.

This includes installing traffic railings and a protective wall.

FDOT is asking motorists to use caution and drive slowly while traveling through the work zone.
