Police activity surrounds motorcycle junkyard in North Fort Myers

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. —

A large police presence was observed early Saturday morning at a motorcycle junkyard near Tucker Lane and Ebson Drive in North Fort Myers, with multiple Lee County Sheriff's Office deputy cars surrounding the area.

Tim Price, a resident of Suncoast Estates, said, "What I saw was a lot of police activity. There was a special unit from the sheriff's department. Sheriff's all over blocking off Barbie. Even on Fort 41 wall del Prado."

Upon arrival, a marked deputy car was seen parked in front of the gated motorcycle spot, and a tow truck was hauling a motorcycle from the yard. Attempts to speak with employees at the motorcycle yard were met with a polite dismissal.

Price expressed a desire for more law enforcement involvement in the area, saying, "I just wish that the sheriffs and, and the county will get more, more involved in this area."

The Lee County Sheriff's Office has been contacted for more information about the incident, but no response has been received yet.
