Suncoast Teen Center under construction at Boys & Girls Clubs’ Park Meadows Community Club

FORT MYERS, Fla. —

Teenagers in Lee County will soon have a safe place to go after school with the construction of a new teen center at Park Meadows Community Club by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County, sponsored by Suncoast Credit Union Foundation.

The center will create a space for older club members to collaborate with other teens, participate in after-school programs and summer camps, and prepare for their futures after high school.

"Starting construction on the Teen Center marks a new chapter for Park Meadows Community Club," said Denise Gergley, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County. "Supporting a bright future for the kids in our community isn’t possible without Suncoast Credit Union Foundation’s generous partnership."

The Park Meadows Club will offer college and career readiness programs through the new 2,600-square-foot teen center, which is expected to open later this year.
