The Weather Authority is tracking a chilly start with a milder afternoon for your Thursday plans.

The Weather Authority's Zach Maloch said, "Today, a little bit of a reprieve, as highs are back to the lower 70s for some of us today as well as tomorrow. Plan for a mostly sunny sky today with a bit more clouds moving in for the next couple of days."   

Thursday

We are off to another cold start this Thursday, with temperatures in the 30s and 40s.

While most of Southwest Florida is under a Cold Weather Advisory, portions of the area are under a Freeze Warning with both expiring at 9 a.m.

Highs Thursday top out in the upper 60s to lower 70s.

Friday

Temperatures are starting chilly, but not as cold Friday, with lows mainly in the 40s.

Highs rebound slightly and will be back in the upper 60s to lower 70s.

We'll see a partly cloudy sky through Friday afternoon.

Saturday

WINK Weather Authority meteorologists are tracking a cold front that brings rain Saturday.

Scattered showers (40% coverage) will be moving through the area from Saturday morning throughout the middle of the day.

Winds will turn quite strong throughout the afternoon, with gusts ranging from 30 to 40 mph.

Highs will only be in the 60s Saturday afternoon.
