Tracking the Freeze: Events canceled in SWFL ahead of cold weather, possible snow flurries

The following events in Southwest Florida will be postponed this weekend due to the cold weather and possible snow flurries. 

The Weather Authority said this powerful cold front will bring the coldest air our area has seen in over 16 years. Due to this cold front, there is a potential for snow flurries along Florida's west coast overnight Saturday into Sunday morning.

POSTPONED EVENTS

• The Fort Myers seafood & music festival is postponed until Feb. 28.

• The Sun-N-Fun Lagoon Waterpark will be closed Saturday and Sunday due to the cold weather.

• The Cape Coral Farmers Market schedule for Saturday is cancelled due to the weather. 

• The Naples Art Institute's "Art in the Park" event, scheduled for Saturday, has been canceled. The "Art in the Park" is scheduled for April. 4 at Cambier Park.
