The Weather Authority is tracking a mild day ahead of big weather changes this weekend.

The Weather Authority's Zach Maloch said, "Today is the day to try to get out of work a little early, spend some time outside later on this afternoon and really enjoy because as we head towards Saturday and Sunday, that's when more impactful weather heads our way." 

Friday

Temperatures are starting chilly, but not as cold as yesterday, as we are in the 40s and 50s.

Highs rebound slightly and will be back in the upper 60s to lower 70s.

We'll see a partly to mostly cloudy sky through Friday afternoon.

Saturday

WINK Weather Authority meteorologists are tracking a cold front that brings rain Saturday.

Scattered showers (40% coverage) will be moving through the area from Saturday morning throughout the middle of the day.

Winds will turn quite strong throughout the afternoon, with gusts ranging from 30 to 40 mph.

Highs will only be in the 60s Saturday afternoon.

Sunday

Extreme Cold Watches and Freeze Watches are in effect for Sunday morning as temperatures will be in the 20s and 30s.

Plan for a breezy day and "feels like" temperatures Sunday will be in the teens and 20s.

Highs Sunday stay cool and in the lower to mid 50s.
