The Florida Department of Health in Lee County lifted a health alert on Friday for the presence of blue-green algae toxins in the Caloosahatchee River-Sebastian Canal.
Follow-up water samples did not detect algae toxins, according to DOH-Lee.
Residents and visitors are allowed to resume any water-related activities. The alert was issued on Jan. 21.
