Tourists and locals in Southwest Florida are facing unexpectedly cold temperatures, with many finding creative ways to stay warm as temperatures dip into the 40s.
The shopping plaza at Miramar Outlets, typically bustling with people enjoying an 80s music concert on Friday nights, is quieter this week.
Susan Israel from Estero said, "I took out my winter jacket. I'm gonna get cold. I have gloves in here. Oh, but I didn't think I needed them. I come here a lot to this concert every Friday night."
With the chilly weather, many people are choosing to stay home, bundling up and finding creative ways to stay warm.
"We get under the covers together and wear a sweater. And that keeps us warm," Israel said.
Despite the cold, some still find comfort in Florida's weather compared to the snow up north.
