Brush fire on I-75 near Kings Highway exit in Charlotte County temporarily closes lanes

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla.—Emergency vehicles were on scene on Interstate 75, combating a brush fire that had temporarily shut down both north and southbound lanes.

Crews responded to the fire at around 2:20 p.m. on Monday near mile marker 172.

Law enforcement was on scene to redirect traffic at exit 170, Kings Highway.

At 2:38 p.m., crews reopened the lanes, resuming traffic flow.
