Florida driver's license exams shift to English-only starting Feb. 6

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles announced a significant change to its driver's license examination process. Starting Feb. 6, all driver's license knowledge and skills exams will be administered exclusively in English.

Previously, non-commercial driver license exams were available in multiple languages. However, the new policy requires all exams, including Commercial Learner’s Permit and Commercial Driver License exams, to be conducted solely in English.

FLHSMV has updated its statewide testing system to implement this change. Language translation services and printed exams in languages other than English will no longer be available.
