A man accused of stealing a car was arrested, the DeSoto County Sheriff's Office said on Friday.
According to deputies, they received a report of a robbery and responded. They add that it was determined that Jeremy Bernard Daniels, 36, was giving the victim a ride. DSCO says that Daniels threw the victim's phone out of the car window, and when the victim exited the car to retrieve it, he stole their keys and drove off.
Deputies say that when Daniels was found, he drove away. After a lengthy pursuit, they add, officers from the Arcadia Police Department and deputies successfully caught him.
Daniels was arrested and charged with robbery by sudden snatching, fleeing to elude and resisting without violence.
