Naples' Cars on Fifth kicks off, merging luxury with community support

Cars on Fifth weekend has officially kicked off in Naples, blending luxury, aviation and a cause with local impact at Friday night's Jetport Reception.

The multi-day automotive event showcases some of the world's rarest vehicles in Southwest Florida. From Ferraris and Bugattis to private jets and helicopters, it offers a lavish experience for attendees.

"The cars, the cars for sure. And anything Ferrari," said Melissa Kozyra, a Ferrari race car driver.

Tom O'Riordan, president of Naples Automotive Experience, shared his excitement about the lineup.

"If you look around, you'll see some of the most amazing cars you'll ever see. There was one over here, this MC-12, which is a Maserati. They built 25 of them. Some say it's the most beautiful modern car ever built. I tend to agree," said O'Riordan.

The Jetport Reception on Friday night provided guests an up-close look at luxury before Saturday's main concourse along Fifth Avenue South.

"We probably have the best collection of cars we've ever had. If you didn't see them at the show, you would never have a chance to see them again," said O'Riordan.

Beyond the stunning vehicles, the event raises funds for Habitat for Humanity of Collier County, supporting long-term affordable housing in the community.

"We welcomed homeowner number 2,750 on our way to 3,000. And the amazing things that happen when families are in a stable home and we watch kids grow up and go on to just remarkable things," said Lisa Lefkow, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Collier County.

Lefkow emphasized the importance of stability.

"Yes, we can address health care. We can address education. We can work on economic development. But unless we've got a stable home, unless we've got that first rung of the Maslow hierarchy of need, we just can't do that successfully," said Lefkow.

Cars on Fifth continues Saturday with the main event along Fifth Avenue South from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. General admission tickets will be available at the gate, with free shuttle service offered throughout the day.
