Planning a Super Bowl party for 10 people this year will cost $140, according to the Wells Fargo Agri-Food Institute. This amount is up $2 from last year.
Despite the rising costs, there are still ways to save money. PepsiCo has reduced the prices of its products by 15%. This includes popular chip brands like Doritos, Lays, Cheetos, and Tostitos. The company said the price drop aims to reduce the pressure of hosting a party.
Some other items are cheaper than last year, including chicken wings, frozen pizza, and veggie trays. However, prices have increased for shrimp, salsa, and ground beef. It might be wise to skip the burgers, walking tacos, and shrimp cocktail trays this year.
