Miami man accused of speeding at more than 100 mph in Immokalee

IMMOKALEE, Fla. —

A Miami man was arrested after he was accused of driving more than 100 mph on State Road 29 in Immokalee Monday.

According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office's report, Cesar Vasquez, 44, was driving a Black sedan northbound on SR-29. Deputies then used a radar which said the sedan was traveling at 105 mph in a 60 mph zone.

Vasquez was arrested under the super speeder law and faces a charge of operating any vehicle at 100 mph or higher that endangers others, CCSO said. He was taken to the Immokalee Jail Center.
