Woman who carjacked Lehigh Acres man sentenced to over 10 years in federal prison

FORT MYERS, Fla. —

The United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Florida announced that an Orange Park woman was sentenced to 10 years and five months in federal prison for her role in a 2025 Lehigh Acres carjacking.

According to court records, in May 2025, Miranda Lee Pryor, 39, and a co-defendant carjacked a man waiting in his vehicle outside a store in Lehigh Acres. During the carjacking, Pryor brandished a firearm as they stole the vehicle and sped away.

They were found later that afternoon and led police on a high-speed chase down Interstate 75 through Collier County. Eventually, they crashed the vehicle. The pair was arrested. The firearm that Pryor had was found on the side of the road. She had tossed it out of the car during the chase.

Pryor pleaded guilty to carjacking, brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence, and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
