Injured eaglet found in Lee County transported to Tampa Bay by several volunteers

LEE COUNTY, Fla.—An injured baby eaglet from Lee County was found and recovered by volunteers and transported to the Raptor Center of Tampa Bay for treatment.

The animal recovery clinic posted on its Facebook account, highlighting its latest additions to the treatment center, including the injured eaglet.

According to the Raptor Center, the eaglet was found starving after falling from its nest.

WINK News spoke with a representative from the Raptor Center, who said the animal was able to be transported in part because several people were networked together.
