Teen's record-breaking donation supports Collier County shelter

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. —

A 13-year-old in Collier County is giving back to the community with a record-breaking donation to St. Matthew's House from his annual "Holiday Sock Drive."

St. Matthew's House said Paul Campbell recently dropped off his donation at the Campbell Lodge Shelter.

Paul and his mom Angela dropped off dozens of boxes of socks and other items, like underwear, T-shirts, sunscreen, children's clothes, toothbrushes, toothpaste and more, for people experiencing homelessness in Southwest Florida.

Paul has been doing his sock drive for seven years. In that time, he's collected over 10,000 pairs of socks and other essential items, valued at about $25,000, for local homeless shelters.
