Dog injured in Collier County bear encounter

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Bear Management staff responded to an incident involving a bear and a dog in Collier County on Wednesday night.

FWX said the dog sustained minor injuries before the bear was hazed away from the property.

An FWC Bear Contractor plans to set up a trap at the location to capture and relocate the bear if it returns.
