Lee County deputies seek suspect in armed robbery at Lehigh Acres 7-Eleven

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. —

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public's help in locating a man who is accused of robbing a 7-Eleven at gunpoint in Lehigh Acres early Friday morning, marking the second armed robbery in the area in less than two weeks.

Deputies say the suspect entered the store off State Road 82 and Alexander Graham Bell Boulevard before he was accused of pulling out a gun and demanding money from the clerk before running off with the cash.

Crime Stoppers describes the suspect as a Black man wearing a long-sleeved flannel shirt, black pants, a mask, and a bright neon-colored glove on his left hand. This location was previously targeted on New Year's Day when a teenager was arrested after being accused of attempting to rob the same 7-Eleven.

Last week, deputies reported another robbery on Feb. 4 outside a 7-Eleven just minutes away on State Road 82 and Sunshine Boulevard, where a suspect is accused of shooting about 10 rounds into a canal. Roman Deleon, 21, was arrested and accused of robbery with a firearm near a 7-Eleven on State Road 82, but investigators are still searching for a second suspect captured by surveillance cameras.
