The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that occurred on the 2600-2700 block of Tamiami Trail just after 2 a.m. No injuries related to the shooting were reported.
Deputies say that after they arrived, witnesses, victims, and video evidence of a physical disturbance were located. They add that it was determined that a physical altercation started just after the Paddy Wagon Irish Pub closed its doors and took place near a food truck vendor.
Deputies say that during the altercation, several shots were fired. They add that while no injuries were reported from the shooting, individuals involved in the physical altercation reported minor injuries. No structural damage was reported.
One person was treated and released from the hospital.
CCSO says that no suspects have been located yet and that the scene is being held by their Forensic and Major Crimes Units to process and collect evidence.
They are asking anyone with information to call the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office at 941-639-2101.
