Collier County crews respond to plane in water near Port of the Islands resort

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. —

The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, fire, and EMS crews are responding to a plane in the water near the Port of the Islands.

According to CCSO, there were no reports of a crash, just of the plane in the water. They say that marine units found one person, and that their condition is currently unknown.

Their aviation unit is searching the air for any more people in the water or the area.
