Fort Myers Walmart evacuated after bomb threat on Colonial Boulevard

Fort Myers Police investigated an anonymous bomb threat at the Walmart on Colonial Boulevard.

According to the Fort Myers Police Department, the building was evacuated.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office confirmed they were on the scene assisting with efforts. 

Authorities advised the public to avoid the area as the investigation continues. The scene was cleared shortly after 11 p.m. on Monday.
