LeeCares sets final application date for hurricanes Helene and Milton damage assistance

LEE COUNTY, Fla. —

The Lee County Board of Commissioners has set a deadline of March 31 for eligible homeowners to apply for assistance in repairing homes damaged by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

According to Lee County, income-eligible homeowners have until March 31 to submit applications through the LeeCares portal.

The assistance is meant for eligible homeowners looking to repair, replace or reconstruct property damaged in the hurricanes.

Individuals can also call 239-382-5453 or visit the LeeCares intake center at 9400 Gladiolus Drive, Suite 270.

Funding for the program comes from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Community Development Block Grant — Disaster Recovery allocation to Lee County.
