Sweethearts & Scholarships auction raises over $5K to benefit Southwest Florida students

FORT MYERS, Fla. —

The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce's Women in Business Committee raised over $5,000 through the annual Sweethearts and Scholarships auction to support local students.

The money supports the Women in Business Scholarship Fund, benefiting non-traditional students attending Florida Gulf Coast University, Florida Southwestern State College, and local technical colleges.

The scholarships also support workforce development through certification and gap funding opportunities.

The momentum continues on March 4 at Florida Gulf Coast University as the Women in Business Committee hosts Pathway to Apex, a panel featuring award-winning women leaders discussing their career journeys and lessons learned along the way.
