WINK Listens: Our community-driven mission to hear from you

ESTERO, Fla. — Hello Estero! WINK is listening today at the Estero Recreation Center on Corkscrew Palms Blvd. from 8:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Every voice matters. And, WINK is Listening. We want to hear from you. We want to listen to your stories—the wins, the progress, and the work still left to be done.

John Gilbride proposed an idea to help reduce the python population. "If you were to put on a bounty all year round of 2 Burmese pythons for $15, the state would give you, you would have more people out there getting rid of those pythons," he said.

WINK Listens is all about creating space for stories that matter.

"We are really heartbroken by the derelict boats that remain in the Caloosahatchee for 3 years now," noted David Mize from North Fort Myers.

Whether a concern, a dream, or just a friendly hello—your words are a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.

"I find WINK is very personalized, and I think that you want to hear what we have to say, and I think that's really important," stated Golden Gate Estates resident Chris Overcash.

"It is fabulous to bring anyone in here that can bring their story out to people and be more aware of their situation," added Suzanne Perry.

While we cannot guarantee action, we will work to get you answers.

"I'm more hopeful than I have been in a long time," shared Joy Rogers.

Hope for a voice. Hope that she is being heard. WINK is listening.
