Fort Myers man transported after being shot, no one in custody

The Fort Myers Police Department is investigating a shooting on Market Street.

Officers surrounded a home on Thursday evening.

The location is just west of Fowler Street and south of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard.

Authorities say they found an man who was shot when they arrived at the scene.

Officers performed CPR on the man until EMS arrived. He was then transported to a local hospital.

No one is in custody at this time. Police say the investigation remains active.
