CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (WINK) — The Charlotte CARE Center in Port Charlotte, formerly known as the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition, will open its doors as a cold-weather shelter on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday nights, February 22-24.
The National Weather Service forecasts cold temperatures during these nights, prompting the need for a refuge in the area.
The shelter, located at 1476 Kenesaw Street, will offer warmth and safety to those in need. Guests must pre-register by calling 941-627-4313 and should arrive by 8 p.m.
