The Weather Authority's Lauren Kreidler said, "There is going to be a chance for rain today as we go throughout the afternoon hours. I'm expecting to see that line of showers ahead of a cold front pushing through."
A Dense Fog Advisory is in place until 9 a.m. this morning with mild temperatures in the 60s.
After a streak of warmer-than-normal temperatures and sunshine, our next cold front pushes through this afternoon.
Increasing clouds can be expected with isolated showers today.
Winds will be breezy out of the northwest around 15 to 20 miles per hour.
Highs will be near-normal reaching 79 degrees.
A Cold Weather Advisory is in place tomorrow morning as temperatures drop into the 30s and 40s with breezy winds.
Mostly sunny skies will come into play this afternoon with highs in the low 60s.
A Fire Weather Watch is in place across all of Southwest Florida as dewpoints are low, winds are breezy, and drought conditions continue.
By the evening, temperatures will quickly cool down into the 50s.
Cool temperatures stick around for the start of the week, but then by the end of the week, highs will be back into the low 80s.
Expect mostly sunny skies and dry conditions throughout the week, with our next best chance for rain coming towards next weekend.
A Small Craft Advisory has been issued for this afternoon, as winds pick up ahead of our next cold front.
Winds will initially be out of the southwest Sunday morning, and then shifting to the northwest around 15 to 25 knots.
The Gulf wave heights are reaching 3 to 5 feet with choppy conditions in our bays and inland waters.
The water temperature in the Gulf is at 73 degrees.
