Two men arrested after machete attack in Arcadia leaves 1 injured

ARCADIA, Fla. —

Two DeSoto County men were arrested after they were accused of attacking and injuring a man with a machete in Arcadia Sunday.

According to the Arcadia Police Department, Yeri Flores Salgado, 32, and Rafael Hurtado Martinez, 28, were arrested after a traffic stop in coordination with the DeSoto County Sheriff's Office.

Police responded to the area of SuperMatt Laundry regarding a disturbance involving a machete. The suspects were accused of fleeing the scene, police said.

Both men are facing a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and they are being held at the DeSoto County Jail with no bond, according to APD.
